Larry Gee, Greg’s dad, built the club a sound system; he was in town over the weekend and brought it down. It will be tried out at next fun fly. The windsock is in tatters, from a high wind possibly. Tom Dougherty will be contacted about making a new one. Doc motioned we buy a kayak for the club for $175. to retrieve planes lost in the water. A long discussion ensued, about club liability etc. Doc made a call to his lawyer daughter and she told him that we would be liable unless we made a waiver slip to be signed by whoever is using it. It was brought up that personal rights can not be signed away and we could still possibly be liable. A vote was taken and there were 5 people for buying it; 4 against; and 6 abstained. Greg made a motion not to purchase the kayak until waiver is in hand and a Standard Operating Procedure be written for its use. Motion Passed. Mike Crum brought up about the weeds on the road blocking the view coming around the corner when entering/leaving. Greg will try to get the county to trim it back. It was brought up about the shed key and who would need them. Discussion on the subject followed with the question coming up of what is in the shed the people need keys for.
